The central library of Seema Dental College and Hospital is well- equipped library integrating international journals, books and e-resources providing access to a wide range of data and learning resources since its inception in 2003. It is creative and innovative partner in teaching, learning and research activities and in turn contributes to the achievement of the Institute Vision & Mission under the able guidance of our Principal Dr. P. Narayana Prasad.
Central library Team is committed to provide best means of facility & access of knowledge under the consistent guidance headed by Dr. S. Karpagavalli with Ms. Shobha Upreti with all head of departments as members and student representatives ensure resources reflect current requirements and help provide users with the information they need. Books are arranged on shelves according to the Dewey Decimal Scheme of Classification.
DVL Digital Visual Library allows library users to search for textbooks, journals, videos in library in electronic format. This software access to 700+ Full Text e-journals, 150+ e-Books, 304+ Live Cases Videos and the faculty and students can access and download articles required by them directly. A specified area is allocated for e-learning by providing computers for students to access e-content and improve the accessibility for all. On-campus Wi-Fi facility allows unrestricted access to learning resources in the campus. This refers to that the scope of the library is not just limited to the library alone. Books and journals are available throughout the campus if the student or staff member is on the same Wi-Fi network. A dedicated 10mbps internet connection provides the strong backbone for the same. Reprographic room within the library provides printing, photocopying and scanning facilities and other binding facilities at a dispenser within the Library.
Other amenities within the library include an isolated staff reading room, computer room and dedicated Journal section, Reference section, online OPAC search counter and separate areas for students and post graduate students.
